    The AWS Support team is seeking engineers that enjoy solving problems, troubleshooting complex issues, working with global customers, and have a strong technical background in Windows/Linux/Unix platforms. As a member of the AWS Cloud Support Engineering team you will be at the forefront of this transformational technology assisting a global list of companies that are taking advantage of a growing set of services and features.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Every day will bring new and exciting challenges on the job while you:
    • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our customers' individual needs.
    • Leverage your customer support experience to provide feedback to internal AWS teams on how to improve our services.
    • Drive customer communication during critical events.
    • Learn and use groundbreaking technologies.
    • Interact with leading technologists around the world.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Strong Linux/Unix or Windows Systems engineering / Administration expereince
    • Fluent in DNS, DHCP, TCP/UDP, IP addressing.
    • Virtualization and/or cloud computing experience - preferred
    • Impeccable communication skills to successfully engage with customers.
    • Previous experience in a support role with proven customer satisfaction.
    • Troubleshooting skills at many levels of complexity.

    Preferred Qualifications


    (Optional qualifications, but highlight on your resume if you have them)
    • Networking knowledge in VPN, load balancing and monitoring tools.
    • Programming/scripting in Python/Java/Shell/Perl/Ruby/PHP/etc.
    • Experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications.
