Job Description

The Audible Support Engineer will provide backup for the Automation initiatives developed by the SJO Audible Business Intelligence Team, performing tasks related to software development, web design, database management and analytics for tools used by multiple teams in Audible SJO and EWR. Applicants are expected to possess a working knowledge of programming as detailed below.

· Assist on general tools development, maintenance and CS operations requests for such tools; looking into the SIMs submitted from the operations team, including debugging and new features.
· Partner with the Global Business Intelligence Team to scope, design, develop, test and deploy new features to the existing tools.
· Collaborate with Dev team to bring new potential use cases for the tools.
· Contribute with the 2018 Business Intelligence team Roadmap.

Basic Qualifications

· Working knowledge of the Java programming language, control structures and web frameworks (i.e. Spring) and servers (i.e. Tomcat).
· Working knowledge of UX design technologies, including HTML5, JavaScript.
· Working knowledge of relational and schema-less database systems, including at least one of the following: MySQL, Oracle SQL.
· Display a detail-oriented, analytical and proactive approach to diagnosing and solving problems.
· Demonstrate effective, clear and professional written and oral communication skills.
· Strong prioritization, time management and research skills.
· Embrace constant change with flexibility and good grace, strong motivation to innovate.

Preferred Qualifications

· Currently enrolled in, or already graduated from, a University career related to Computer Sciences (i.e. Software Development, Systems Engineering, IT Support, etc).
· Working knowledge of additional programing languages (Python, R, C+…).
· Provide a previously completed programming project.
· Amazon Web Services working knowledge.
