As the Business Development Pursuit/Capture Manager for AWS focusing on the Public Sector in Korea, you will have the exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build customer mind-share and broaden use of AWS’ utility computing web services (Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS and other AWS offerings).
Your broad responsibilities will include working with Public Sector customers and AWS sales teams to identify, shape and influence RFx opportunities (e.g. Tenders / RFI / RFQ / RFP and Panel Contracts) and support new business development. You will work with the broader ecosystem of industry advisors/consultants, industry bodies and others that impact acquisition environment in Korea. You will also work with internal AWS teams on specific opportunities to develop opportunity strategies, win strategies, proactively determine shaping activities and implement them, support channel strategy, support pricing, determine compliance to legal terms and conditions and orchestrate RFx responses. You will work with the AWS field and partner sales teams, along with our engineering teams, to close strategic business at a rapid rate across the public sector.
The ideal candidate will possess prior capture, pursuit, consulting or business development experience. The candidate will possess understanding of cloud adoption trends and challenges in the public sector in Korea. She/he must be able to develop a trusted partnership with the customers and partners to guide their cloud acquisition. The candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with technical leaders, software developers, architects and business leaders. She/he must be able to think big and strategically about the customers’ mission and product/technical challenges to build and convey compelling value propositions.
The candidate must know government & Public Sector acquisition guidelines and have experience with government RFx compliance requirements. Understand and navigate government contracting vehicles and procedures. Be a thought leader with respect to building cloud acquisition awareness and program pursuit.
