Amazon Web Services (AWS) is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for an experienced sales representative to build and execute a strategy for this new role. You’ll be joining a rapidly growing team focused on increasing adoption of AWS by developing the Public Sector market across Australia and New Zealand.
In this role you will be working with our customers as well as consulting partners, managed service providers and technology partners including ISV’s. You will drive sales execution by developing a strategy to identify key AWS partners to deliver/produce targeted sales campaigns that align with the account team. By establishing and developing business and technical relationships, along with managing the day-to-day interactions, you will be responsible for driving growth in top line revenue and overall market adoption.
Responsibilities: · Identify specific customer segments and industry verticals to approach with a joint value proposition for using AWS. · Engage the partner field sales organization, channels and end customers to create and drive/develop public sector revenue opportunities for both AWS and the partner · Understand technical requirements of an opportunity and guide the direction of AWS product offerings to Customers & Partners. · Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team.
The ideal candidate will possess business/channel sales and technical background that enables them to engage at the senior managers in our partner organisations as well as our end user customers. The ideal candidate will also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions. He/she should also be a self-starter, adaptable, articulate, driven and passionate about their work and have an entrepreneurial spirit. This position is based in Sydney with some travel required.
· Experience working with enterprise partners to develop and execute sales campaigns and Go to Market programs. · 6 – 8 years of I.T. related technical sales experience either in business development, sales or an engineering/consulting capacity. · Strong presentation and writing skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences · Strong technical and/or business solutions acumen, with a demonstrated track record of driving emerging/disruptive technologies like open source software, virtualization and Software as a Service delivery models · Ability to think and work creatively to develop unique joint value propositions and product strategy within AWS and in the partner’s organization · Consistently exceeds quota and key performance metrics · Demonstrated ability to own and successfully execute a Territory channel and partner sales plan
· A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus · Experience engaging with Public Sector customers desirable but not required
