Key Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a Sr HR Business Partner for the Amazon Devices team, based in Bucharest to work with the business locally and participate in multiple project across locations in Europe to implement HR best practices in a high-tech and commercial work environment.
  • Own and manage the relationships with client group business leaders;
  • Develop and own the delivery of the strategic HR plan for each business supported, ensuring consistency with EU and global HR goals;
  • Act as a consultant to your client groups and provide input on the HR implications of strategic and operational decisions and plans, acting as an integral member of each group’s management team;
  • Maintain a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, engagement and retention activities, including an understanding of compensation and benefits and employee development activity;
  • Support and develop line managers in driving a performance culture through coaching, facilitating talent assessments and succession planning meetings;
  • Provide expert input to your client groups as well as the HR team in terms of Romanian employment legislation, policies and practices;
  • Support the design and delivery of appropriate training and development programs;
  • Ensure alignment of HR related programs by partnering with peers and colleagues in Seattle, Boston and other EU locations.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelors Degree required in Human Resources Management or related field. Master's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field is preferred.
- Candidate should have at least 6 experience in an HR generalist leadership role, preferably in a high tech environment.
- Proven ability to deliver effective HR solutions and manage HR processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Romanian language; high quality document preparation and presentation skills
- Exceptional listening skills and ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees of all levels in the organization
- Ability to work independently, as well as an active member of both business and HR teams.Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to generate and analyze basic reports

Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to travel domestically and internationally, as appropriate
  • Ability to work in a collaborative manner and develop strong working relationships
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
