We can be found on platforms such as the Amazon Echo, Kindle Fire, iOS, and Android as well as on a mixture of home and auto streaming platforms.

Amazon is searching for an experienced Label Relations Manager to help drive the growth of the Amazon Music. In this role you will collaborate with Amazon major label partners to provide the best music experience for Amazon customers. Label Relations support the existing music relationships, drive collaborative efforts internally and externally around content launches, events, and promotions. Label Relations Managers work closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Content Acquisition, Operations, and International teams.

A candidate must have passion for music and innovating to improve the experience of Amazon customers. You will have a proven ability to influence others, communicate with persuasion, and engage on behalf of customers, all in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Work with labels and other owners of content to improve and expand Amazon’s content offerings to customers.
  • Identify ideas for new music content promotions with labels and content owners.
  • Foster key relationships in the music industry and act as Amazon’s ambassador among labels, the artist community and the larger music industry, educating them through compelling presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Work with the Digital Music catalog and operations team to improve catalog quality and operations.

Basic Qualifications

  • University degree and a minimum of five years of experience in the music industry in a function involving sales, account management, business development, deal-making, and/or licensing
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with small and large label partners, artists, and artist managers
  • Extensive industry network
  • Strong organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management and meeting deadlines
  • Highly polished communication skills - speaking, writing, and presenting
  • Strong quantitative analysis, problem solving and project management skills

  • Experience working at or with technology companies
  • An entrepreneurial way of thinking and a strong hands-on, results driven mentality
  • A great deal of personal initiative, creativity, decisiveness and team spirit
  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically with strong attention to detail
  • Proactive attitude; willingness to roll up sleeves and dig deep to achieve goals
  • Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
