Our Product Compliance team is looking for a smart, energetic, hard-working, and creative candidate to join our team. The successful candidate shows excellent judgment and instincts in decision making and proactively and continually improves their level of knowledge about Amazon’s business, its systems, and relevant technologies. This is an exciting and challenging position that provides Product Compliance support around imported products. This position will be located in Sydney, Australia.
We are looking for talented Senior Product Compliance Manager. You will enable business opportunities by executing on a broad range of product compliance matters. You will work directly with business leadership, legal, tax and a variety of internal and external business partners to drive product compliance across the supply chain. You will set policies and implement processes to ensure compliance with applicable product compliance regulations covering a broad range of consumer products.

Principal Duties :

  • Work with Amazon’s Global Product Compliance and Legal teams to set policies around product compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Amazon’s Global Product Compliance to establish and implement processes to execute against established policies.
  • Work with technology stakeholders to drive efficiencies and scale through technology solutions.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent working experience)
5-10 years of experience with product compliance
5+ years of experience with Australian product safety / consumer compliance regulations.
Deep knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements for at least one product category.
Curiosity to develop knowledge of additional product categories as needed.
Proficiency with implementing processes to comply with regulatory requirements
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
3+ years of experience managing/developing team members
Fluent in English
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and computer skills

  • Retail industry experience
  • Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements
  • Project management skills/experience
  • Knowledge and experience regulatory requirements in additional countries within the region
