PeopleTech is looking for a Sr. Manager, Product Management to lead an elite team and build a suite of products to measure and improve Time Quality and to reduce Pay Defects.

Now multiply that by the hundreds of thousands of hourly workers at Amazon … those who work in our fulfillment, customer service and data centers; employees in our growing number of Amazon Books bookstores and more. On every continent (well, ok, not Antarctica… at least, not yet). PeopleTech is looking for a highly analytical Product leader with a passion for navigating complex data and driving continuous improvement. This leader will head up Time and Attendance’s effort to build great products and solutions that drive improvements in Time Quality and reduce Pay Defects. We build customer trust with employees by ensuring they are paid accurately. Our Time Quality and Perfect Pay initiatives seek new methods of improving that accuracy by building products to drive automation and address Pay Defect root causes. The best candidates will have real-world experience leading a team and diving into complex data to identify root causes and develop solutions to improve defect rates, then rolling out those solutions to large stakeholder populations.
Responsibilities include defining and owning the portfolio of Time Quality metrics, developing a suite of products to solve Pay Defect root causes and improve Time Quality measures, working with Program Managers to roll out these products to stakeholders, and inspiring a team of product managers and data analysts to build customer trust by improving pay accuracy. You will also drive prioritization for Time and Attendance by assessing and assigning value to projects based on Time Quality and Pay defect reduction impact. Overall, you are not only the leader of Time Quality, you are the moral measurement compass for the Time and Attendance organization.

8+ years work experience in Product Development or Technology organizations
6+ years of Product Management experience in highly analytical environment
People management experience, with success developing strong performers and experience coaching and growing team members
Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders
Demonstrated skills in developing product roadmaps & functional specifications, launching new products, conducting customer research, and facilitating user testing.
Experience working directly with Engineers and UX designers in an Agile development environment.
Quantitative background with proven ability to synthesize and make sense out of huge amounts of data
Strong writing skills; ability to articulate a product vision in a written document
Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-complexity projects
Strong verbal communication and presentation skills; sufficient poise to successfully interact with all levels of an organization, cross-functional partners, and customers.
Passion for technology, curiosity to dive deep into Amazon’s suite of technical products and commitment to learning and expanding technical knowledge
4-year BA/BS required
Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve ambiguous problems independently with an extreme attention to detail
Strong strategic aptitude; proven ability to define the right business strategy and develop the product roadmap to deliver it
Demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units
Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly products and customer-facing features
Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, experience evaluating tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members
Prior experience working as a software developer or UX designer
