The Amazon Engineering & Facilities team keeps all our equipment in excellent working order, from printers to fully automated sortation systems.
You will be looking after the automated systems within our buildings, helping with fault finding, leading process improvements and will be involved in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Besides your day-to-day activities, there will be plenty of opportunities for you to get involved in new projects and innovate. You will be a key part of a highly skilled team and thrive in delivering high-quality results and always be on the lookout for improvements. Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for controls systems design, specification, simulation, testing, installation, start-up assistance and commissioning at one of our sites. The extent of your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Perform inspection, testing, and commissioning of the automated systems, such as high speed sorters, tilt tray sorters, tote sorters, automated packing systems, robotics, conveyance, cameras and scanners and the related controls systems.
• Work individually and as part of a team to develop new products, support existing products, test and evaluate equipment.
• Provide technical assistance as needed to internal customers.
• Have oversight of panel design and layout, bill of materials and wiring scheme for your site.
